Carrier Offers Tools and Tips to Help Families Breathe Easier During Wildfire Season

INDIANAPOLIS—With wildfire smoke impacting air quality across the U.S. and Canada, Carrier is stepping in with practical advice and a full suite of solutions to help keep indoor air cleaner.

The U.S. EPA has warned that smoke particles can irritate eyes, lungs, and worsen conditions like asthma and heart disease. Recognizing these risks, Carrier is encouraging homeowners and businesses to act quickly. Recommended steps include running HVAC systems on fan mode with high-efficiency filters, sealing cracks to keep smoke out, and using portable air purifiers equipped with HEPA filters.

“Wildfire smoke can make outdoor air unsafe to breathe, but it can also find its way indoors,” said Nick Arch, Vice President and General Manager of Residential Solutions. “Our technologies are built to help families and communities take back control of their indoor air quality.”

Carrier’s solutions range from advanced HVAC filtration to portable air purifiers, and earlier this year, the company donated thousands of units worth $2.5 million to frontline workers and schools in Los Angeles.
